OneCity nomination results
Thank you!
The OneCity nomination race concluded last night. There was a very strong field of candidates, and I didn’t make it onto the ballot, but I’m grateful to everyone who supported my nomination run! I thought OneCity did an excellent job of keeping the contest friendly as well as competitive.
I think of politics as a means to an end, rather than an end in itself. My goal isn’t to get elected: it’s to help fix the housing shortage, to make housing in Vancouver less maddeningly scarce and expensive.
I’m looking forward to the next phase of the campaign: volunteering over the summer, in advance of the general election, to help elect a pro-housing OneCity majority in October. If you’re interested in volunteering, check out OneCity’s events page.
We now know who’s going to be on the ballot for OneCity in October.
William Azaroff is OneCity’s mayoral candidate.
Nominees for council, joining Lucy Maloney:
For school board:
For park board:
Congratulations to all of the nominees! I think that running an open nomination race was a great way to build up the experience and credibility of OneCity’s candidates, giving us an excellent slate of candidates and putting us in a good position to run the general election campaign.
